My Arkaya system was installed at our farm in November 2023. The new system now allows for a hot wash at every Milking, with the hot water produced whilst cooling our milk effectively.
Another benefit I value is that we finish milking as the milk tanker arrives, and I have full confidence that the milk will be cold.
I would recommend the system to other farmers looking for a solution for milk cooling and water heating.

Like the Sherlock Holmes tale of the dog that didn't bark, it's not the engineering or the sheer number of pipes that I can see but what I don't see that is so amazing. Standing by it, in the middle of my dairy, you realise there's no heat coming from it. All the heat from instantly cooling my milk to a fraction over 4⁰c, even the energy it uses is all converted to hot water. I have all the hot water I need, to wash the dairy, feed the calves ( in the middle of my block calving) and more. Looking forward to sending this surplus to the farm house for heating. I'm also very happy to have electric bills in 3 figures rather than 4, as recordings show usage dropping from 202 kwh a day to 100kwh

Our Arkaya system was installed in October 2023. It has now been running for a few months and our experience with it has been extremely positive. It has replaced our ice bank and Lo-heat dairy heater completely and is now meeting our milk cooling and water heating needs entirely. We have also seen considerable reduction in our electricity bills and are on track to save thousands this year on our bills.

The system has saved us £400 a month approx. at about 22 pence per kwh. It does 2 hot washes and cools our milk down to temperature. Exactly what we expected it to do. The 2 hot washes and quick cooling that the system does is useful to keep our bactoscans in the top band of milk quality. We are now using more hot water than before, which makes the savings impressive
